About US
Juniata Troutfitters consists of 3 close friends, Jon Gonsman, John Brehm and Adam Smith. Growing up together and all going to school together, we have played sports, been in bands, and spent a lot of time fishing on the Little Juniata River. In 2013 we decided to start Juniata Troutfitters. Guiding was a way to take one of our passions we shared to the next level. Through the years we have guided many satisfied customers from all skill levels. We cherish each opportunity we get to share the river with others and look forward to spending time with our repeat customers each year. Meet the Guides
Jon Gonsman
Originally from Hollidaysburg, PA, now living less than a mile from the river, Jon started wading the Little Juniata over 15 years ago. Aside from being a programmer, husband, and father, the J is home base.
John Brehm
Grew up in the area and has been on the little J since a young boy. Started fly fishing in his early teens and has over 15 years experience on the J. A family man dedicated to fishing and teaching the art of fly fishing.
Adam Smith
Residing in Duncansville, PA, Adam has been fishing since he can remember. He has a passion for the outdoors, fly fishing, and graphic art. Adam enjoys guiding and helping others get a chance to experience the river.
